Some Things To Consider Before You Upgrade To Android 4.4
- Double check whether your device is fully charged because if the power goes down during update, your device may get bricked.
-
Make an entire backup of your smartphone data to your PC’s hard drive. This includes contacts, game saves, images/videos and so on. If you don’t have a computer available nearby, you can use Google Drive or Dropbox cloud storage to upload your data.
-
Make sure you leave enough space (minimum 3 GB) in your Phone/Device so it can download/read update files.
-
Stable WiFi connection with internet is required for Android OTA update.
- To start the update, open Settings, swipe to the bottom of menu list, click About Device and then Software Update.
-
Do not press Volume UP/Down for power button during the updating process, doing so may cause faulty behaviour.
- If you notice any glitches or anything unusual after the update, try doing the factory reset on phone. If problem still persists , try to search on forums for solution or wait for the next bug fix update.
